Part Time Job in Sabah

Hello again! its been quite sometimes I have not write anything on my blog. Today, I feel like writing something related with job. Nowadays, just to provide the necessity is already a burden to a middle class family. I'm not so good in economics but I do undestand certain terms like unemployed, retrechment and widing up and so on. This is basically what is happening to the world's economy and everyone seems too feel the impact. As an individual, we might not feel it here in Malaysia but in America, every low class and middle class individual feel it. I like how Michael Moore's way of thinking regarding to the world economic situation. As a personal opinoin, I think he presented it well on his movie documentary "Capitalism: A Love Story".

So now the current situation in Kota Kinabalu, a lot of us are working and I belived even if we are an employee to a company or the government, some of us are still trying to get side income inorder to provide a better living environment to our family. This is because the cost of living in our country are getting higher and we as a human will want to have the best for our family. Everyone want to send their kids to a better school, wanting to give a bigger or better house and so on. We as a human basically evolve all the time that this nature will create an opportunity to others to make business out of this evolving nature. If we are smart enough, we might be able to tap a niche of the situation. For example, a runner, a person who run around to provide service such as delivering parcel or getting a formal documentation done for some one else. I bet ten years ago everyone is being their own runner thenselves but now everything must go fast and as an individual, it is impossible to be at two places at one time. So this simple situation has already created a job opportunity for some who is willing to do this job.

I read the classified column on the local paper most of the time and i noticed that almost everyday there will have a part time job offer by local companies. Most of it are related to the service industry such as waiter & waitress, personal driver, cashier and so on. Online job search is another place i like to check for part time job. For me this is one easy way to access more advertisement since everyone is connected online all the time and you can even find a job in other country while you just have to be online to do the job that they offer you. I must emphasis that please do some background checking on any websites that you are interested to do job with or else you will be wasting time and get nothing out of it.

I have created a page on facebook regarding par time job in Sabah and hope to get some feeedback from the people of Sabah soon. The page name is SabahPartTimeJob and I feel that through this page, everyone can get or give a job to one another fast and easy.

Selamat Hari Raya!

Its a double celebration this year for Malaysia when Hari Raya falls on the Hari Merdeka or our National day. Hari Raya falls on the 30th of August and National Day was on the 31st of August. Our Prime Minister announced that this year, the National day will be on the 16 September. This date is actually the date when Sabah & Sarawak join and formed Malaysia.

The usual atmospher of raya in Malaysia is that the muslims will be going through a month of fasting and after that they celebrate the raya by going back to their home town or they balik kampung and visit they relatives and also to go to the grave yard to pray for their beloved ones who had gone to the other side of the world. In the fasting period, they usually will do preparation for raya.Such things as making kuih raya and making baju raya.

One thing I look forward about hari raya is the food such as kuih raya. oh, the batang buruk, makmur and many more and food like lemang, serunding and all the rich flavoured food will be my target when visiting friends or relatives house when they do open house for raya.

This year, even though we don't celebrate hari raya, since it was a long holiday, we decided to do family gathering. Our family is quite big and thanks to my aunty for creating a family page on facebook and thats the place where we do our discussion all the time. So we decided to do barbeque and kareoke! The party started lated afternoon on the first day of raya and the man or the boys will usually get the fire place and the set up ready out side and we ladies will be in the kitchen preparing the food. Each family contributed something but since it was a bbq gathering, we decided each family must bring at least one packet of chicken wings and one container of ice cream. Usually when we put a terms this way, some will still bring other food like pudding, ribs for bbq and since it was raya holiday my aunty brought along a few containers of raya cookies. Ohh..she didn't buy them, her students gave her as raya goodies.

One thing about festive season in Malaysia, indirectly, every one will get to celebrate it because there will definitely be a holiday and even we are not celebrating that particular celebration, we will be doing something with our family.

So to all muslim friends, selamat hari raya and please drive safely when you guys balik kampung and balik report duty.
